‘Flexible Neon’ LED
The statue “In Memory of Freddie” has been created with the permission of the band Queen, using rawhide skin cast over the original statue in Montreux.
The skin forms an imperfect chrysalis-like mould of the original. It is affected by the climate it dries in (in this case the crisp air around Lake Geneva and the mountains,) and by the nature of each carcass. Some hides curl and some lie flat, some have holes and some are solid. Each imperfection is picked up by the light that radiates through.
